Mission

Our mission is to free people with cancer to fight their medical battles by meeting their non-medical needs.

Values

The Local Church – She brings the message of hope to the world, and is therefore the intentional platform through which our work is accomplished.

Patient Focused – So we never forget why we do what we do.

Relationships – They are the driving force behind how we do what we do. Knowing the person better enables us to know the needs.

Collaboration – We realize we cannot and should not attempt to be all things to all people. There are great organizations already doing great things. There is no need to reinvent the wheel.

Holistic Approach – A person with cancer has both medical and non-medical needs. By focusing on the non-medical needs, we aim to enhance the overall treatment process.

Outreach – Compassion ministry can’t only happen on our turf. We need to be going where people with cancer are.

Incarnational – Scripture calls us to be the representative hands and feet of Jesus as we minister to those around us. This means we can see and be seen, touch and be touched.

Presence In Hard Places – Compassion ministry is never easy. We must be willing to embrace the hard places where we are called to minister.

Big Hairy Audacious Goals – No goal is too big.

Creed

We affirm the following:

THE NICENO-CONSTANTINOPOLITAN CREED

We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, begotten of the Father before all ages; Light of Light, true God of true God; begotten, not made, of one substance with the Father; through whom all things were made.

Who, for us human beings and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was made flesh by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary, and was made a human being; was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; and suffered, and was buried; and the third day rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of the Father; and will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead; whose kingdom will have no end.

And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life; who proceeds from the Father; who together with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified; who spoke through the prophets.

In one holy, catholic, and apostolic church.

We confess one baptism for the remission of sins.

We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
